Believe it or not: I'm still in Kansas and far from boredom!

Well I'm surviving the substituting! It's good for me to be challenged in this way. I'm a currently a long term sub for the 9th grade language arts teacher here in Hugoton, KS. I'm thankful to have an English class because this time I'm paying attention. Tomorrow I get to start working with an English second language student. I met this boy once when his mother and his aunt picked me up on the highway after running out of gas with my scooter. He seemed a lot younger in my memory but through a translator I found out that he was indeed the same young boy! I'm excited to work with him.

I started the Rosetta Stone Spanish edition! It's pretty good. I'm glad I didn't buy it though. I don't think it's worth 400 dollars. But I've only completed 1/16th of the 1st lesson. So we'll see.
I'm going to be in the community theatre production of "Daddy's Girl." I don't have the script yet but from listening to the auditions it sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I was invited about a month ago to visit a bible study at the county jail here in Hugoton. I'm enjoying that regularly now. I'm also starting to play guitar at the church I'm attending. Oh boy! That's a lot of fun. The group is very good! They like to challenge one another and do creative things; I'm going to like being a part of this group.
