Half way through 2009 (Close enough)

Well a lot has happened and it went by sooooo fast! I will only mention the note worthy events. I finished one whole semester of teaching! WhooHOO! I went to New York for the fun of it. (More on that later). I acted in a community theatre play. My brother David got married to a beautiful girl named Marcy and there's a baby on the way!!! Go Dave! My little bro Mike graduated and has a scholarship to go to UNL for Engineering.

Now I'm teaching summer school and applying for a Vocational Coordinator job here in Hugoton. I like it here. There isn't any running water or good fishing hole close but the town is full of nice, helpful, loving, caring, and beautiful people. It makes it easier to stay here. Not to say that Gillette or any other town didn't have beautiful people, but you get the point right? Ok the point is I'm a jerk, I got it...

New York. Well I had a blast for one. I met up with 2 of my colleagues and a high school friend. Here's one thought about the subways. They reminded me of ski lifts and here's why: Here you are adventuring around a giant city and the thought of getting lost never enters your mind because there's always a subway to take you to another subway that will get you home. Awesome! I love skiing and part of the reason is that when you are adventuring around a mountain you never have to worry about backtracking or getting lost, or at least at a functioning ski resort.

Well I thought I would say something now that it's been about 6 months since I wrote in here. Oh I'll resubmit what I wrote on my Facebook page.

What if...What if I got a video camera and set out on a spiritual journey to get a good detailed picture of the work of God in and through the body of Christ. Every town has a body, every state has a body, every nation has a body, but we are all one in Christ Jesus. For some reason I am dreaming about doing a documentary to show the world how Jesus is at work in America and possibly throughout the entire world.

I have found myself continually blown away by God's truth in His people. Once this project is on the way, the body of Christ will have more opportunities to be encouraged, united, loved and possibly a few steps closer to having one mind and one purpose. The documentary will show how God is at work in the body and then they will be given an opportunity to meet needs and offer encouragement. I am foreseeing that this has the potential to grow into something that I could never begin to imagine. God is at work!

So pray, dream, collaborate ideas, if anyone wants to get involved, the sky is the limit, let me know!

I truly believe there is room for everyone on this project. Believers and unbelievers alike. The only prerequisite is that you would be a seeker of the truth, searching for the way, and hungry for life, 'real' life. If you know anyone that might be interested, let me know!

But up front this project will be similar to John Steinbeck's Search for America, only one large difference, we will be traveling around America in search of Jesus.

Let me know what you think.
